I know what you’re thinking. Bad title. Well, I’m not good at titles nor am I good at summaries, so a quick indication of what this story is about is this:
It’s been three years since the D-Reaper incident, and Takato and his friends are now sixteen and are attending West Shinjuku High. But after Rika is kidnapped by SupremeMyotismon, it’s up to Takato and the rest of the Tamers to go back to the Digital World and rescue her. Action/Adventure/Romance.

“Takato! Takato, honey, wake up or you’ll be late for school!” A feminine voice echoed throughout the Matsuki household.
A pair of ruby red eyes flickered open, and a boy around sixteen years old sat up. He had messy brown hair, and wore an exhausted expression on his face. Rubbing his eyes viciously, he slid out of bed and made his way across the room, where he opened his closet and began digging through it to find his uniform. When he finally found it, he quickly changed into it before making his way over to his mirror to brush his hair. Or at least try to.
When he was satisfied, he snapped on his infamous goggles before snatching his backpack from off his desk, and racing down the stairs. His parents were serving some customers, but his friends, Henry Wong and Rika Nonaka, stood by the doorway waiting impatiently for him. Henry’s Digimon partner, Terriermon, rested comfortably on his head, while Renamon, Rika’s partner, was nowhere to be seen.
“Hey guys,” greeted Takato.
“Hey.” Henry greeted back, while Rika only nodded her head to acknowledge his presence.
“Where’s Renamon?” asked Takato.
“She’s dealing with Impmon. Apparently, he ticked her off and now she’s planning to get even with that little demon of a Digimon.” Terriermon answered.
Henry chuckled, while Rika only rolled her eyes and folded her arms across her chest.
“So, are you guys hungry?” asked Takato, “There’s plenty of bread for all!”
“I already ate.” said Henry.
“I’m not hungry.” Rika stated, turning her attention to the couple that just walked past the bakery, hand-in-hand.
Takato snatched a slice of bread for himself, before grabbing the bag of bread meant for Guilmon, his own Digimon partner.
“Well, we’ve gotta get to school.” said Takato, “See you later!”
“Wait!” exclaimed Mrs. Matsuki, “Aren’t you forgetting something, Mister?”
Takato double-checked everything. He had his backpack, the bread for Guilmon, his homework, his library books, his lunch, his goggles … what was there to forget?
“Uh … I don’t think I’m forgetting anything?” Takato laughed nervously, knowing exactly what his mother wanted.
A hug. She wanted him, a sixteen-year-old boy who happened to be standing with his friends, to hug her, an adult who knew absolutely nothing about the humiliation he’d go through if one of his schoolmates found out that he still hugged her …
“Well, I gotta go, bye!” exclaimed Takato, grabbing Rika’s wrist and Henry’s backpack, and dragging them out of the bakery.
“The nerve of that boy!” scolded Mrs. Matsuki, placing her hands on her hips and glaring at her son’s retreating form.
Mr. Matsuki glanced over at his wife before grinning and going back to serve the old woman at the counter.
